Business Port Pirie is a modern, progressive organisation dedicated to supporting local business activities and working with the community to develop the economic growth of the region.

As the “Champion of the business community” Business Port Pirie deals with a vast range of issues ranging from day to day business opportunities/problems through to regional infrastructure and community affairs.

Business Port Pirie is a strictly apolitical body that is financially independent and provides members with the opportunity to enhance their interests, network for profit and improve the prosperity of the community.

When significant issues arise the lobbying power of Business Port Pirie provides a strong, united voice to local, State and Federal governments. The business experience of Business Port Pirie is vast, so we can also put businesses in touch with an organisation who can deal with most problems or conflicts.

One of our main objectives over the next 12 months is to increase our membership and to continue to build our profile by being active within the community.

We have recently restarted our regular “Business Networking Nights” at which Business Port Pirie engages quality speakers. This is a great opportunity for business owners and managers to network.

We also engage sub-committees to work on relevant projects. These projects include the recent CBD shops clean up, posters in the vacant shop windows, the golf course redevelopment, the airport upgrade, Port Pirie entrances, waste management, Viterra site fence upgrade, reposition of the Port Pirie Tourism Office to National Highway One, and many others.

In relation to training, we have a good working relationship with Regional Development Australia, Yorke and Mid North to advertise any relevant training opportunities.

Regular newsletters update members on what Business Port Pirie is working on along with special members only promotions, initiatives and member to member offers in which we receive positive feedback from the community on things such as the shop local gift vouchers, Christmas shopfront light displays, special late night shopping & more.

Business Port Pirie exists to 'Build Business Success', which secures a range of services for those who live in our region, while broadening employment, education and training opportunities available for youth and others.
