STORIES FROM THE ROAD REUNION FOR ALL THINGS TRUCK, BUS, CAR AND BIKE

Old friends and new are invited to Port Pirie to help us celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of our Stories From the Road Museum.

Our Réunion will be held over four days 18 to 21 March 2022 with heaps of events Including a dedication of our garden memorials, the unveiling of our Legends of the Road display, a truck display, several functions and a few day trips.

In keeping with a tradition of long standing our volunteer starter party will give you a chance to play 'dress up'. Our theme this year will honour ESSENTIAL WORKERS so you can be a doctor, a nurse or even a truckie. 

Our line up includes all those faces we know and love - Sandra, Murray, Vic and Cec, Irene, Bob and Marg, Mike and Ann, Gert, Wayne, Lynn, Trish Shane, Geoff and more

LEGENDS OF THE ROAD DISPLAY
Join us for the unveiling of our inaugural Legends of the Road display with our first 200 legends.

MINGLE WITH THE MILEMAKERS
Enjoy lunch and a catch up with some of our Legends of the Road. Special guests include well known trucking identities such as Peter Ritchie, Lizard Williams, Jan Maher Martyn, Flash Wilkins, John and Chrissy Abbott, Gerry Noonan, Popeye, Max Winkless, Kerry KK O'Connell and more all of whom will have been inducted.

BLUE JEANS, BOOTS & BULLDUST
Join us for an evening of country music, country food and country hospitality. Be sure to wear your blue jeans; Levin's, Wrangler or Longhorn. For boots we'll accept RM Williams, Blundstones and Red Wings.

Oh, OK. Well if it comes to the crunch you can wear blue singlets stubby shorts and Chinese riding boots if you want so long as you have fun! As far as the bulldust goes, we'll let you spread that!!!

DOING A MAINY - Down Main Street Drive through town and across to the Bridge to No-Where for photo shoot. (Drone Wanted)

11.00AM - 5.00PM (No fee)
PUBLIC OPEN DAY - TRUCK SHOW
Bbq and drinks available all day. Mingle with the public as they come and look at the trucks and cars on display.

6.00PM ($10)
FAREWELL BBQ
Mingle with old friends and new at a casual BBQ to farewell them and the Réunion for another year.

WANDER AND WONDER DAY
An opportunity for you to wander around the museum and catch up with any of the staff or attendees. Ask any questions you've been wondering about. Have your photo taken with one of our Legends.

HCVC - CLUB RUN 11-13 MARCH
Truckin' the South Coast
HCVC - Truck Club Run. This is one of the most fun groups to travel with. The Historic Commercial Vehicle Club South Australian branch will be conducting a truck run around fhe Goolwa and Strathalbyn, Mt Barker area. If you are a member contact the club directly. Non Members are most welcome too.

Day Trip to Peterborough to visit
The Motor Bike and Antique Museum, the Steamtown Railway Museum and and the Print shop. Entry fees and lunch at Hotel at own cost. Take your vehicle or catch the bus.

WEDNESDAY 23 MARCH 9AM
Day Trip to visit Wilmington Toy Museum and Landrover Collection, the Sanscousi Puppet Museum and Art Gallery. Entry fees and afternoon tea at the Stone Hut Bakery at own cost. Take your truck or catch the bus. Take a picnic lunch or get something in Melrose.

BOOLEROO RALLY: 27 March 2022
The Booleroo Steam and Traction Rally on the weekend after and is less than an hour away. It is always a well attended and popular event with all sorts of stationery engines, traction engines, plant and machinery on display.
